The Sudbury Spartans are pleased to announce that they have finalized their coaching staff for the 2017 season which is set to get underway in just under 3 weeks. This will be the largest coaching staff that they have had in team history. All positional coaches have extensive playing and coaching histories, and are more then qualified to bring a successful 2017 season.

Kim ‘Junior’ Labrosse will continue as head coach of the Spartans for his 4th season. Labrosse is a Spartan alumnus as a player, but has also held other various roles in the organization since 1987. Labrosse was inducted into the NFC Hall of Fame in 2010 as a player with the Spartans.

Returning to the coaching staff are Mike D’Agostino, Al Nowoselsky, Brad Robinson, Paddy Walsh, Christian Lorenz and Walter Wilson, :
D’Agostino has signed on for his 4th season, as the offensive coordinator and running back coach. During his football career, he played for the Carleton Ravens and is also a Spartans Alumni.
Nowoselsky will continue as the D line coach for the 5th straight year for the Spartans. He played junior with the Ottawa Sooners, before playing with the Spartans.
Robinsonhas returned as the linebacker coach for the 3rd year with the Spartans. He also played for the Ottawa Sooners and was a former Spartans player.
Walsh, former Spartans head coach, will continue as the O line coach for the 3rd year. He is a former Bishop’s University Gaiters and Spartans player, and a 2010 NFC Hall of Fame inductee.
Lorenz is the defensive back coach for the 3rd year. He played for the Waterloo Warriors and Spartans.
Wilson, a former Windsor Lancer, will lead the Spartans’ Special teams. Wilson is returning to the Spartans from a leave-of absence.

New to the coaching staff for the 2017 season are Nick Micaolotta, Jordan Ceccetto, and Alec Bedard who are all Spartan Alumni:
Micaolotta will take over the position of receivers’ coach.
Ceccetto will take over as quarterback coach.
Bedard, a member of the GTA All Stars at the 2015 CMFL National Championship, joins the Spartans as the associate offensive line coach.
