It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of a LEGEND in our organization. Gary "Satch" Costello passed away this weekend after a lengthy hospital stay. He was surrounded by his loved ones and passed peacefully. A life long Hardrock/Spartan, "Satch" was the longest serving member of the organization, serving as members of the executive and numerous roles, mainly as the Trainer for more than 40 years, before handing duties to his two sons, Bill and O.J. in the early 90's. The Costello's would like to invite everyone to come and celibrate Gary's life this coming Friday. We will miss Gary.

Sad news folks... and there is no easy way to break the news.

Stephen Fretz (25yrs old) passed away overnight Tuesday in his sleep. He was found early Wednesday morning.

Stephen was defensive lineman who played with us during our 2013-2016 seasons. He was out west during the recent 2017 campaign.

Stephen was a character both on and off the field. He had a great sense of humor and was a big part of our team chemistry.

There are a lot of great memories of Stephen with our team. The year he missed team photos for the game day program and asked us to "pick a photo from Facebook". (Included below).

At this time - there is no information about his funeral. We will advise once we hear details.

Our condolences to his family and friends...

It's a sad day for all...

What a great experience for our players to participate with MIFA football. So many things are in the works but something significant happened this past Labour Day weekend in Mississauga/Oakville,Ontario Canada. Ladies and gents, MIFA is searching for our next new recruit for our International womens and mens teams. We are scouting via Indoor Tackle (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) in Mississauga. We are building youth programs (MINI MIFA) from the bottom to the top including coed flag football for youth and adults. We are the only womens team in Ontario and have begun to attract attention due to our strong core group who are committed to growing the sport . Things are happening, and they are happening now. Be a a part of the movement. We ask that you spread the good word and get everyone involved including potential players and sponsors.
