Spartans travelled down Hwy 17 the play the North Bay Bulldogs with one propose in mind, WIN. To finish out the season with a win meant that we would host a Quarter final game in our backyard. 73-7 was the result for the Spartans in the Gateway City. Not since 1991 has the team marched in and beat North Bay on their field so badly.

Spartans started things early, by recovering a fumble on the opening kickoff to the Bulldogs. On the very first play from scrimmage, Josh Cuomo scored on a 16 yard run.

Quarter time had us up on the Bulldogs 24-7. North Bay’s only score was on a 70 yard Kickoff return in the first quarter. By half time, Spartans 51, Bulldogs 7. End of the third quarter, 66-7.

At the 7:10 min. mark of the 4th quarter, the officials called the game as there was no need to continue as it was too far gone for north bay.

That’s it!!! That’s what happened in North Bay.
Next Saturday, July 28th we will be hosting a Quarter Final game at James Jerome field for only the 2nd time in 25 years. The Ottawa Sooners will be traveling to Sudbury. Gates open at 6pm, with Kickoff at 7:30.
